  • 1.  Apply an existing job to new computers automatically

    Hi,

    I'm wanting to know if it is possible in DS to have an existing job that is applied to a group automatically apply to new computers in the group.

    i.e. I have a group called workstations that has a scheduled job that shuts them down if they are not logged on at a certain time, If i add new computers to that group they do not automatically have the scheduled job applied to them.

    Is it possible to do this or is it best to use NS for these type of tasks.

    NS is specificly designed for this. 

    DS is designed for you to assign jobs to existing computers.  I do not know of method in DS to have jobs auto assigned to new computers.

    It is possible in DS to use "Initial Deployment" (pxe only), however, it would be for all new machines that DS has never seen and you would have to boot to the network initially.
