  • 1.  Auto Protect problem

    Auto protect keeps showing the following message non stop when the computer is on

    Scan type: Auto-Protect Scan
    Event: Risk Found!
    Security risk detected: Suspicious.Bifrose
    File: C:\Users\Debbie\AppData\Local\Temp\DWH247C.tmp
    Location: C:\Users\Debbie\AppData\Local\Temp
    Computer: DEBBIE-PC
    User: Debbie
    Action taken: Pending Side Effects Analysis : Access denied
    Date found: Wednesday, May 04, 2011  2:20:17 PM

    the count on this runs into the thousands as i'm typing it is up to 2,390 and still clinming and only stops when Symantec auto protect stops responding, yet no scan quick or full finds what is causing it. Any ideas?

    What SEP version are you on ?
    We had issues on SEP re-detecting quarantined files as DWH*.tmp hence best to upgrade to at least build RU6 MP1 to prevent this issue from occuring.

    To fix this , you will need to purge ALL your quarantine content.

    Just wondering if you had a file detected as a Suspicious or Trojan.Gen ?

    I had similar problems and upgraded to 6a. Now upgraded to mp3 and still having the same problem.

    No Trojan.gen but they all say Security risk detected: Suspicious.Bifrose and it says i'm using version 11.0.6005.562

    Setting the quarantine to purge daily worked, I haven't had the problem since, thanks everyone yes

      in my system i am using symantec antivirus after installation it begin to show message of ( Symantec Anti virus Auto -Protection failed to load.) please help to resolve my problem.
