  • 1.  Automatic email notification to recipients is not working

    Dear All,

    We have a problem in Symantec Brightmail Gateway with "automatic email notification to recipients". User portal is accessible but there is no data to be restored.
    In fact Symantec Brightmail Gateway is blocking some e-mails which we need essentially, 

    when we access the user portal, we are able to access it but there are no emails to restore.

    Please guide me, how to resolve that problem.

    What evidence do you have that Brightmail is blocking the emails if there is nothing in the spam quarantine?

    Have you tried logging in as the user that the message was addressed to?

    Qiblatain,

         Thanks for the post!  Unfortunately what you are describing is fairly basic.  Is it possible for you to give us more information?  Where are you seeing that the appliance is blocking emails?  Is it in the Message Audit Logs?  Also I am not clear as to what notifications you are talking about.  Are you referring to the Spam Quarantine Notification in the appliance?   If you are you can look at the logs in the control center for the control center log brightmaillog.log and it will give you more informaiton as to why emails generated by the appliance might be having issues.
