I am waiting on info from end-user with the exact version on PGP installed.

For now, she has a laptop and cannot login to decrypt drive.  Have narrowed the issue down to bad keyboard.
Can hit TAB and see what is being typed and the letter "Z" does not seem to be working.  Unfortunately, since it's a laptop, an external keyboard is not an option (have already tried 2 different ones.)

Is there any way around this?  On-screen keyboard?  ASCII code?

Laptop is probably going to be replaced at this point, so i may just end up yanking the drive and connect it to another system with PGP installed.
Hoping for a quick and dirty way to get in and recover data though.

Have you tried an onscreen keyboard?

You need a numeric keypad but with that you can try ALT 90 (capital Z) or ALT 122 (lowercase z)

Take the drive and install it in another identical laptop. This is assuming there are other identical laptops in your environment. Alternatively if all you are doing is decrypting the drive you can install it in any PC as the boot drive, boot off the recovery usb stick and decrypt.

I hadn’t looked at the boot screen in awhile but was pretty sure there was a keyboard option.  End user originally said there wasn’t one so figured I would post here.

Spoke to her today and was able to help her find the keyboard option and get logged on. Files are backed up now and it’s time to replace that thing.

    Thanks for the tip!
