    any ideas/links on best practices with regards to the installation of SEP on Lotus Notes Servers? especially with folder exclusions.

     Install only Antivirus and Antispyware feature of SEP.
    Do not install Lotus Notes Pluggin of Email tools.
    Exclude the file extensions: .ntf and .nsf

    well there is no link from Symantec which i have found out as one to MS exchange. However the installing of EMail plugins are not recommended on lotus notes server. Since the installation will be on server, install only AV componenet or else you need to study the communication port to have set in firewall ACL's.
