    We have numerous Windows 2012 R2 servers, virtual and physical that will randomly lock up with a black screen.  The servers are fully patched with Windows updates.  When the lock up occurs the server will still be responsive, you can ping the server, services continue to function (for awhile) but you cannot connect with RDP/console.  When we uninstall Symantec the issue goes away.  We have tried all the latest Symantec version and the issues continues to happen.

    This was supposedly fixed in the latest version of SEP 14, which is RU1. If it's still occurring you're best off getting a case opened up so they can do root cause analysis.

    Support will likely need process and/or memory dumps as well as advanced logs generated by SymDiag.

    Yes, that is what we thought/hoping for, not our case though
