I want to block upload of sensitive information and specific file types to Microsoft Teams desktop client.
I have the same question for monitoring MS Teams on Mac OSX.

and do you want to apply to only specific MS desktop client?
For Mac OSX I'm looking to alert on credit card data and HIPAA using the policy templates. Aiming to alert on pasting or uploading files. But I have not been able to get the Application Monitoring configured with the binary name so DLP will monitor MS Teams.

I had good success implementing DLP Endpoint Prevent policies to monitor Teams under 15.5, so it definitely can be done.
The app executable should be "teams.exe".
