We have set up a rule in Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager to allow remote connections but it is still blocking it for some reason.
What do I have to do to make remote connections working?

Have you checked the FW logs to see if the traffic is getting blocked by another rule above? You can test this by moving the "allow remote" rule up the list and see if the issue goes away.

Can you please send the screen shut of the firewall policy which you applied.
Make sure the machine is listening on 3389 and it is not blocked.
You can use telnet so see if it blocked.
You can use netstat -ano to check the ports that are listening.
