    Hi,

    I have lots of links to good knowledebase articles published by Blue Coat.

    I notice that screenshots and illustrations in many of these articles just show broken links since Symantec took over.

    One example:

    http://bluecoat.force.com/knowledgebase/articles/Solution/HowcanIfindwhichpolicyrulesarebeingused

     

    Also I have not found at good way to browse knowledgebase articles, clicking the below link just redirectes you to Symantec from page.

    Any plans to solve this?

    I've found that if you start to type the name of the product you're needing info on (from the re-directed link above), you can select from a dropdown and choose a product:

    Additionally, you can go to the 'Product A-Z' page a click on the product you need and it will take you to its technical support site where you can browse articles:

    Hi Fredrik,

     

              Having moved to Symantec Knowledge base as part of the migration, the old links may not work properly. Other KB links towards BlueCoat legacy will be decommissioned soon. My recomendation would be to replace the links with the ones in SYMC KB database now itself. For the example you have mentioned, I searched with the article number 000009825 and got the new link as https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH241425.html with pictures intact. Recommending you to replace the old bookmarks with new.

    Aravind and Brian are correct. All Blue Coat KB articles have been migrated to the Symantec Knowledge Base accessible HERE. In the above example, the new URL for article 000009825 is https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH241425.html and we would encourage you to update your URLs to the new format as Aravind mentioned.

    I'm searching for a KB referenced in some old CPL in one of our proxies, and finding nothing.

    The CPL references "Akamai Chunking - KB3817", and "Policy used to disable authentication for Akamai user agents"

    I am unable to find anything relevant in the Symantec KB.

    Advice?

                 I couldn't find an article with that number within the internal DB as well. What is this CPL is expected to do ?

    error committing management console changes so VPM policy installation abandoned

    I get this message when trying to install policies in Blue Coat SG S400 proxy. Please assist

    Hi TK,

     

                     The issue is due to Java out-of-Sync which complains about an unsaved change to the Mgmt console and won't let you push the new changed policy. Some steps which will help in this.

     

    1) Close all browsers

    2) Clear Java Cache

    3) Add the proxy mgmt url of https://<proxy:ip>:8082/ in the Security > Exception List

    4) Launch Web Mgmt console and make changes > Install
