By Ghost 11, do you mean Ghost Solution Suite 2.5 ? It would be helpful to know exactly what version of the Ghost executables you are using. The internal versions are 11.0.xx.xxxx or 11.5.xx.xxxx
There are also other limitations of Ghost 2.5 - it does not work with UEFI bioses, for example. It also uses WinPE 2.x which is based on the Vista kernel and therefore needs Vista 32 bit drivers for WinPE to boot correctly. There are technotes in Connect by Terry Bu about how to update WinPE to version 3.1, which uses Win 7 drivers, so have a hunt for them if you feel ready to update.
That is why most users working with Windows 10 and modern machines have updated to Ghost Solution Suite 3.x which brings support for UEFI and also can utilise WinPE 10 as shipped in the Windows 10 ADK.
If your machine has a USB-2 port which you could use instead of a USB-3 port then try that as well. Sometimes you need USB3 drivers when working with USB3 ports although most modern machines now support USB-3 via the bios.
