  • 1.  Booting Ghost PXE via HTTP

    Does anybody tried to boot the WinPE Images from GSS with iPXE via HTTP (Wimboot).

    If you are using iPXE, then you can boot aclient using HTTP, which is much faster and more reliable than the default TFTP protocol. Over a Gigabit Ethernet network, a typical 200MB image should download in less than two seconds.

    Got it working with PXELINUX.

    Increasing boot time for a 400MB boot.wim (WinPE 5.1 x64) from about 8 Minutes (TFTP) to ~ 3 Minutes via HTTP and Wimboot.

    I think you mean "reducing boot time" from 8 to 3 minutes......  ;-)
