    you referring to local good sender, it should be effective immediate. do you see otherwise?

    You needed to wait 8 hrs for what? Anyway, is the scanner and control center on the same box? If so, then that's just weird, but if the scanner has no control center on it then maybe there's a delay in settings getting propagated from control center to scanner. If that ain't the case, reboot the scanner and see what happens.
