I just updated Firefox to the latest version (57.0.2, 64-bit).  Now, whenever I open Firefox, I get a notification message that reads, "Browser Intrustion Prevention is malfunctioning.  Check the System logs for details."  The message also appears every time I open a new tab.  I'm running SEP verison 14.  I ran a Live Update and the problem still occurs.

    What about a system reboot?

Download and run the SymDiag tool to see what it shows in terms of any error messages.

What is the exact version of 14 you're running? Depending on your CIDS engine version, it should be compatible:

Today's your lucky day.  A system reboot seems to have solved the problem.  Thanks for the quick response & sorry for the false alarm.
