  • 1.  BSOD on start-up, teefer-2

I have release 11.0.6005.562 of SEP on my windows 7 pc.  it recently started to not sleep/shutdown gracefully, and upon restart, I get an NDIS.sys BSOD error.  Usually restarting in safe mode, quitting, then restarting normally solves the problem.  Sometimes the ethernet adapter stops working on the restart.  I have read on the site that teefer2 could be the problem (it is indeed NOT working with an error (10) code in the device manager).

Do I need the cleanwipe utility to remove this, or is there a way to repair this device driver to solve this problem?  I thought this was supposed to be fixed in the 11.0.6 version???

ye, I'm also under impression that RU6 fixes the issue. Can you install RU6 MP2 on the system and let know if the issue still persist. The drivers needs to be cleaned, use the cleanwipe. Also check under device manager if the drivers still exist!

Upgrade to the latest version of SEP RU6 MP2.

Resolved a system crash (BSOD) when Symantec Endpoint Protection is installed with the Network Threat Protection feature

    Fix ID: 2052946

Symptom: System crash (BSOD) when Symantec Endpoint Protection is installed with the Network Threat Protection feature

Solution: A third party NDIS6 driver was not compatible with the Symantec Endpoint Protection Teefer2.sys driver.   The driver was modified to prevent the crash.
