  • 1.  Bypass auth and Force authenticate for Group

    Hi,

     

    I have bypass one subnet from authentication nut from that subnet i need to give some default right to the user.

    But the User is getting dynamic ips so can we but force authenticate rule base on user base in web auth layer.

    Hi Aboo,

     

        If you are not able to pin point the user’s IP address for giving him just basic access only, you can try the Guest Authentication policy. This should be considered as a workaround than a solution. https://support.symantec.com/content/unifiedweb/en_US/article.TECH241132.html . Having Force Authentication will create problem for users who are failing to authenticate, so better not use that here.

    Thanks but can we add User as Source in Web Authentication Layer  we are using 6.7 version

    Hi Aboo,

     

                  Once guest authentications sets a "Guest User", you can use it for policies.
