Hi All, I usually work with SEP but today I have SEE question. If I encrypt a USB memory stick using SEE from my machine can I then at least read and copy off files from that USB stick on another computer that does not have any of our SEP products installed?

    cheers

    Hi Paul,

I don't think so, as per the below:

    https://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/encrypted-usb-disk-another-computer

Makes sense that you would need the software loaded on another PC as encrypting a drive but allowing it to be accessed on another PC would invalidate the app or the purpose.

    Thanks!

There is a removable media encryption piece to this:

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC9132

But you cannot just read those files if plugged into another PC without the proper software.
