  • 1.  can i block only some spcified applications from been copied to usb?

    hi guyz 

    i need help in an experiment. i have deployed a policy to stop anything from writing on usb flash. but i want to block only some specific applictaions from writing on the usb flash like pst  but open everythng on usb . so how is it possible?

    How to prevent programs from running by blocking the file extension types from removable drives.

    You can make it read only but blocking specific application ( like .jpg , mpeg is not possible)

    You may need to consider DLP for this requirement.  SEP is AV product only these features help you more in stopping viruses rather than data loss prevention /monitoring

    If you know exactly what programs you want to block/allow, you could pull this off but it could potentially be time consuming. It may be beyond the scope of what you're looking to do.
