  • 1.  can we copy existing SEP 12.1.4 database into newly installed SEP12.1.6 server database

    Hi

    Can we move existing SEP12.1.4 database into newly installed SEP server database.

    1) will it support if i copy datbase?

    2)can i get old database logs?

    3)any issues while moving database.

    Ram,

    Please follow the DR process. 

    If you want to copy the DB(I assume its Embedded) and paste in new server, after running the migration wizard the chances in upgrading the schema is 50%. 

    Infact there's an alternate way to check if is good. Go to the DB folder where sepm is installed.

    Copy paste the err.log if found any.

    Hi,

    I would recommend to perform DR process with SEPM 12.1 RU4 & then perform an upgrade. Manual copy of  of DB is not supported. If database is imported successfully log will be available.
