  • 1.  Can you disable ssc-agent encryption (port 1967) for WAN acceleration using Riverbed?

    Hi there

We have a number of Regional offices connected via VPN that have SAV 10.1.4.4000 installed. These SAV clients are connecting back to the Management server in the Head Office over port 2967 for their updates, however this traffic appears to be encrypted. We have Riverbed devices at either end which are unable to perform any acceleration or compression on this traffic due to the encryption.

Is there any way to disable the encryption on this traffic to enable the Riverbed devices to perform acceleration?

    Thanks
    Vance

FYI: I will shortly be upgrading these clients to SEP 11 RU5, however this encryption will still be present AFAIK. If there is a method to disable the encryption for v11 RU5?

    Thanks
    Vance

traffic in SEP is optionally encrypted via HTTPS but not on by default.

It should be solved if you upgrade to SEP.

Thanks Teiva-boy, I'll be doing that over the holiday break, so we'll see how it goes!
