    Hello,

I have a sepm 12.1.4 installed  with one sep client on server.

I am trying to add another client. I am using the deployment wizard...but the computer i am looking to install sep client to, is not listed under my workgroup in the deployment wizard. Neither could I add it if I specify is name or IP

I verifed that I am able to ping and resolve the names.

See here, ensure it's setup correctly per these guides:

Preparing Windows operating systems for remote deployment

Steps to prepare computers to install Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.x client

Prepare Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008 / 2008 R2 computers: Windows User Access Control blocks local administrative accounts from remotely accessing remote administrative shares such as C$ and Admin$. You do not need to fully disable User Account Control on the client computers during the remote deployment if you disable the registry key LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy. For more information, see the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/951016

You must also perform the following tasks:

    • Disable the Windows Firewall, or configure the firewall to allow the required traffic.
    • Disable the Sharing Wizard.
    • Enable network discovery by using the Network and Sharing Center.
    • Enable the built-in administrator account and assign a password to the account.
    • Verify that the account has administrator privileges.
    • Disable or remove Windows Defender.

    See this articles

    Client operating system

    Configuration required

    Windows XP in a workgroup

Disable simple file sharing. Simple file sharing may prevent deployment of client software.

Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, and Windows 7

    • Disable the File Sharing Wizard.

    • Enable network discovery by using the Network and Sharing Center.

    • Verify that your account has elevated user rights.

Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, and Windows 7 in an Active Directory domain

The account used to deploy client software must be a domain administrator, and have elevated privileges on the client computer

Is the Computer Browser service started on the SEPM server? (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/188001)

Also, you may want to disable the firewall on the client computer before searching for that computer from the Deployment Wizard.

Are you able to find any other computer?
