  • 1.  Cannot Install Symantec Management Solution MR4

    I'm simply attempting to update the SMP MR3 to MR4 using the SIM.

     

    When I got to the product update screen I saw this message:

     

     

    So I removed Altiris Patch Management for Dell Servers, restarted the SMP server and tried again. Same screen

     I then double checked to make sure nothing was left of the install:

    Where do I go from here? The product is cleary not installed, yet I am unable to update.

    The second screen shot doesn't really prove anything, it just says 13 updates are available.

    Really? The products are sorted by name to show that the package isn't installed.

    However there is the green text that says "12 product updates available". If you clicked on that, and filtered by platform, and MR4 doesn't show up, then "Houston we have a problem".
