Hi all,

Since performing the update to 8.1 I cannot create new packages anymore on my console.

When I open a new task and select the 'create new package' link i get a popup with the error page saying the page is not there. 

Everything apart from that seems to be Ok but i cannot find the link to which the 'Create new package' link is leading.

Anyone has an idea on how to troubleshoot this?

Thank you for reporting a problem we will try to fix it in future release update for 8.1. (If you need point fix for this issue please contact Symantec Support).

If you need to import new package you may do it through another places as it's described in Symantec Software Management Best Practices: https://www.symantec.com/connect/articles/symantec-software-management-71-best-practices-part-2 (this is best peractices for 7.1 but common use cases are not changed).

thanks for the info going to look in to these best practices.

If i can get around it with the best practices way of doing things I will wait for the hotfix.

I will keep you posted.

Hi Dmitri,

I just tested the best practice and indeed following this procedure i can again create packages without an issue.

The other way of doing it was a lot more conveinient for us as we are not hosting such a big enviroment.

But for now we'll create the packages that way and will wait for the hotfix to be released
