  • 1.  Cannot start Endpoint Protection Manager

    Dear all professionals,

    I don't know why I cannot run the Endpoint Protection Manager 11.0.5 console suddenly . I have try to reset the password and restart  the Endpoint protection manager service but still not work. I have capture the error screen.  Any advise comment...

    Hi Rafeeq

    I have attached the log... I try to start the Symantec Endpoint protection manager service but few minutes later the service stopped again. Please advise your comment and share your experience to me....

    did you follow the above documents? if not please follow them before we proceed further. 

    is your DB Embedded or SQl?
    confirgure your ODBC connection as per this discussion,

    Do a repair from add/remove programs, run the management server configuration wizard.

    Hi,

    Thanks!

    According to your instruction, I can start the endpoint protection console but prompt error "Unable to communicate with the reporting component". The policy setting and group setting still in the console. Is it miss any setting? I cannot monitor the endpoint server status and do some reporting.

    let me know if you are still getting the msg

    open iis
    expand symantec webserver
    right click properties
    under directory security , check anonymous authentication if its not checked before
