  • 1.  Can't find compatible Windows 10 Client

    Hi,

    I am just getting started with this product, as I'm trying to help out my church with a few tecnical tasks.  We are running version 14 build 2349, (14.0.2349.0100).

    We have a Windows 10 Pro workstation that I recently updated and am trying to install an endpoint manager client.  According to the endpoint server, I can create a client install package for Windows 64bit version 14.0.2349.0100, but when I attempt to install on the client, it is said to be incompatible.  

    Do I need to download new client versions to the server?  Does the endpoint protection server maybe need to be updated?  Any help you can give to put me on the right track is greatly appreciated.

    You need to be on at least 14 RU1. See here:

    Thanks Brian.  Can I install the client only, or does the server need to be updated as well?  

     

    If I install the 14 RU1 client software by downloading directly to the client, can I just enter the server details within the client, or do I need to download the 14 RU1 client software to the server and then export a client install package?

    Sorry for all of the questions, I'm starting from ground zero.

    Best practice calls for both SEPM and clients to be on the same version but it's not required. Personally, I'd upgrade the SEPM then you can push out the package to clients.

    Thanks again Brian.  So I am attempting to download the 14 RU1 software, but all I see is what's listed below.  I am confused as to which would be the server version of 14 RU1?  I'm not sure how the build numbers correlate to what's listed below, I am guessing MP2 is what I need, but don't want to assume.

    That's the latest version, 14 RU1 MP2 so it's newer than 14 RU1, which is fine.

    For just the client, download Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.0.1_MP2_All_Clients_EN.zip
