  • 1.  Can't Get RSAT 1.2 to install, Anyone able to?

    Posted Dec 12, 2017 03:04 PM

Using software delivery I am unable to get RSAT to install on Windows 10

This is the command I am trying and it works fine via command line

    RSATWindowsTH-RSAT_WS2016-x64.msu /quiet /norestart

This just throws an error that it can't find the file and never launches it.  I tried specifying a directory as well, but I don't do quiet I can see that it is giving error 9009 which appears like it can't find it.

I have also tried adding wusa.exe in front and it and it show an error as well.

Anyone been able to use altiris software delivery for RSAT Windows 10 version?

    wusa.exe RSATWindowsTH-RSAT_WS2016-x64.msu /quiet /norestart

should work. What error are you getting?

I did add wusa like you mention when I realized it was just not even running but still not working

now I am getting no error code but I have it set to timeout after 5 hours and after letting it run for 5 hours it times out.

It is downloading, so I know that work

I did find some more info when trying options today, when not doing quiet, and showing the dialogs it appears to say its copying to update cache and never seems to go any further.

If I set it to run as the logged in user without silent switches it does appear to run ok, but with the gui, adding back in the quiet options as the logged in user times out again

    It is baffling me.

I did also download a new version for 1709 which works even though we are on 1703, so tried that with the same results

Is wusa.exe actually running? If so it should log in the Windows Update log file and maybe the dism.log and/or cbs.log.
