    1)  Don't be a log camper.  No one likes a log camper.  I joke of course.. Sort of.

    2)  The error indicates something is wrong with Patch Management Solution, since that is a patch in your log files.  So I would start there, and http://kb.altiris.com

    This sounds similar:
Notification Server fails to update package Distribution Points for replicated packages
    https://kb.altiris.com/article.asp?article=36006&p=1

My primary suspicion is a permissions issue.  Do you have a single NS, or multiple NS's?  Is this error on all NS's or just one NS?

@Lery, as English is not my mother language can you explain who the log camper is?

kb.altris.com is the place where I always begin to look for. However this kb is not alpha and omega.

@mclemson Basically we have 6 separate NS's but they are not aware of each other.

The structure is NS parent -> PS's as the children.

    This particular errors occur only on one of the Ns's . The errors relate to a few different patches and always happens at the same time at night 2.45.  I checked the task name is Ns.Purging.Maintenance and the run command is:  "E:\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\bin\ScheduleProcessor.exe" {de4a3a7c-2147-463e-8a06-a23b6c6e719b}

would you be able to advise what this task does ?

I found the folder fot the ms08-28 bulletin

    "E:\Program Files\Altiris\Patch Management\Packages\Updates\MS08-028\

    and permissions looked ok.

I deleted it and see if it will be recreated and if the errors will go away.

    regards

    Hi all,

I investigated further and found that all 6 errors were related to MS08-28 bulletin.

    what I did was:

    - found the bulletin in Patch Management>Tasks>Manage Software Updates

    - disabled bulletin and staged it again

All files have been recreated in the corresponding folder and the errors have gone.

Thanks to everyone for the help.

    regards
