Control Compliance Suite

Hello, I have the following errors when installing Control Compliance Suite 12 in Windows Server 2012 R2

Not sure if it's related with hardware specifications or something else.

Has anybody has these errors before?

I've came across that error message few times in my life, and the problem is there could be different reasons why the installer could not create CSM_DB. You're best bet is to start with reviewing the pre-requirements, mainly the "User privileges for MS SQL Server and CCS databases" from the Planning and Deployment guide.

If after you verify that all the pre-requirements are met and still have the same issue, look at the installation log files located under the C:\ProgramData\Symantec.CSM\Logs\Installs\. Interesting would be file with "Installlog_AppServer" or "Installlog_DirectorySupportService" in the name, look for "CSM_DB" or "error", "failed", etc...

It works by reviewing the planning guide and installing the DB in a separate server.

CCS App <<<<<<<<>>>>>>> SQL Instance + CCS DB

It worked, and installation was ok.

You can review the resolution by names in the host file found <installation path>: \ Windows \ System32 \ drivers \ etc and add the database server.

1.1.1.1 SQLSERVERNAME-PC SQLSERVERNAME-PC.DOMAIN.COM

And on the database server adding the SCCS server:

2.2.2.2 SERVERNAMESCCS-PC SERVERNAMESCCS-PC.DOMAIN.COM

It looks like the database could be an authentication issue. Are you using SA or windows credentials?

If you're using Windows Credentials try using the SQL SA account.

Also have you ensure that all the Applications in the pre-req's have been installed? I got caught out on .NET 3.5
