    Hello,
    my manager does not remember  password of my SMS 8300 appliance version 7.7,
    there exists way of recovering it or to change it without formatting?

    I think Yes , But for these symantec need access to your  Appliance.

    They have a root account and there they can change the password.

    Please contact Symantec Tecnical Support.

    Only root account can recover admin password, pls contact symantec support.

    you need to call on support , they will take a remote and reset password by root login
