Ghost Solution Suite

I just finished creating an image off a "master" laptop.

Ghost console says everything went ok, however the laptop seems to be in a "loop".

Has the date/IP address/port and status/ack to the server with ghost on it.

Does the same thing after re-booting it.

It seems to start up off the PC-DOS partition instead of the Windows XP one.

Please advise.

Did you use sysprep when you create an image?
In this case, by default, ghost client will stay in dos.
The reason is that when you use sysprep, your client machine will go into windows mini-setup on first boot. so manual intervention is required.
This is why ghost client stays in dos after create an image with sysprep.

when you run refresh task, your client machine will boot back to OS but you have to manually go through windows mini setup.
