    Hi,

I had an old server version 12.1.7004.6500 which has crashed. I have sylinked all clients to a server 14MP2. When the clients were sylinked, I could see that they have connected with the SEPM 14MP2. Problem I am having is that no information is available on the SEPM. Information such as Client security patch version, current virus definitions etc. The Last Time Status Changed is actually the date when the sylink was done.

    Can you please help. Thanks!

    Hello,

What happens if you delete the clients Entry from the SEPM, do they report back to SEPM with the information?

    Please check.

    Hello,

I deleted 1 client from the SEPM, had user to restart PC and as well I restarted SEPM; the deleted client does not report i.e., it does not appear anymore on the SEPM. Does that mean I will have to re-install the package from current SEPM?

what is the hearbeat setting you have configured? open client , click help and support - check if the machine is connected to new SEPM and status is Online

When I ran sylink, the client was online; but now when I check it is offline. Looks like client connected when sylink was done, after that no connection

Looks like that's the only solution I have. Wanted to find whether there was a simple solution. Actually for 2 laptops, the client would not open; had no choice but to install the 14MP2 client. The 14MP2 clients are working fine.

When you create the new package, please select  Remove all previous logs and policies, and reset the client-server communications settings.

    Hello,

Request you to please enable the sylink debugging for the SEP 12.1 client to check the root cause of the issue,

What does it show on the client itself? Does it have a agreen dot to indicate connectivity or is it offline? What about running SymDiag on it to see what it shows?

    Thanks
