    Posted Oct 21, 2015 06:12 AM

Hello all , I deployed a communication update package from a New SEPM server to point clients connected to existing old SEPM to this new SEPM server. The communication is being deployed sucuesfully to the clients but for some reaons they are not appearing in the new SEPM console . It is not giving any error when the communication update package is being deployed.  Please find the attached screenshot.

    Thanks

Is the firewall disabled? Is the remote registry service running?

Preparing Windows and Mac computers for remote deployment

They already have SEP Firewall turned On I am not sure about remote registery service.

Secondly when we are deploying the package from SCCM do we also need to preapre computer as per your shared article . Secondly do we have to keep the setting to NO when creating the package to make sure that SCCM will do the succuesful installation ? Thanks

Ensure the remote registry service is running.

If you have a password to stop the SEP services on the clients, make sure that you include it while deploying the communication update package from the new SEPM to the clients.

Did you check the connection status on a client machine to which you deployed the package? If yes, is it online with new server or offline or still reporting to the old SEPM?

Thanks for your reply Seyed no password on the clients but the strange thing is even if there are some restrictions on the client in terms of UAC enabled or remote registery not running etc etc . SEPM should not indicate that comminacation package or package wasnt succuesfuly deployed,  it should give some error that will indicate the reason of failure becuse viewing each machine logs to see as why it failed is a bit tedious and in some envoirement not possible.

I would suggest checking the status on 1 client machine and troubleshoot on that and hopefully that will help fix the issue on all the other clients.
