  • 1.  Cloud Enabled Management Issue

    We are experiencing an issue in CEM when attempting to add servers to the Symantec Management Platform Internet Gateway Manager application on the servers tab. When adding the servers we click Add Server and type in the FQDN of the Notification server and click OK. The blue bar at the top just scrolls and scrolls, never adds the server. I have tested the ports going from the gateway to the Notification server with telnet and do connect. Does anyone have suggestions on what to check for as to why when adding servers it just sits and never actually addes the server to the CEM gateway application/configuration. I have the policy configured in the console with the corect configuration, Gateways added with thumbprint.

    Hi!

    Some questions:

    • You're using Windows 2012 R2 as SMP server, where "CEM Web Site" with 4726 port is running?
    • You're using self-signed or non-self-singed certificate on SMP Server?
    • You can open Log Viewer from Gateway Manager and check log output to probably determine, why this problem occurs. Also please take a look on NT Event logs.
    • Is there any network problems with FQDN resolving between Gateway and SMP Server machines?
    • "UAC" is enabled on Gateway server?

    JohnVee, could you please grab the full memory dump of Gateway Manager process when the blue bar is scrolling? You can use Task Manager to create the dump. Then please share the dump on the internet so I could download it.
