hello all
currently we have gotten and deployed thinkpad's T410's . currently they will not show information like model type and other hardware specific information.
any ides on where i need to be looking or to do, so this information will/can be gathered.

This happens sometimes when Vendors "forget" to populate this in their BIOS.
Verify this is in the BIOS and that there are not missing fields in there.
If you goto reports, discovery & Inventory, cross platform, hardware. does it show details in there for T410s - I deploy T410s and have a lot of info about them.
Have you pushed out the inventory agent to all machines? Is the policy tunred on?
checked in the bios the data and it's there
they were not listed in he cross platform, hardware
so i forced a inventory to run
waitng for it to finish running.
when i go back and look
i'm still not seeing alot of data on them listed.

Do have the Inventory plugin installed on these machines ?
yes it's there
If you click Home, discovery & Inventory, Inventory. Do you have inventory Policy status showing at the bottom. Are they on ? Is it just the T410s that are not showing. ?
Just reviewing my processor information picked up by the Inventory solution.
Processor on the T410 is Intel core i5 M540 Altiris reports this as PII. where does altiris get its info from ? windows or the BIOS ? anyone ?
