  • 1.  Command failed: Failure in post processing of micro definitions during update. Unable to perform update. SAV Linux

I have an issue similar to a previous discussion:

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/command-failed-failure-post-processing-micro-definitions-during-update-unable-perform-update-

I have an existing SAV client installed on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 8) but it isn't successfully perfoming  definition updates from a LUadmin 1.5.7.19 (installed on a Windows 2003 Server).  Internet access isn't an option.  Other servers on the network update successfully from the LUadmin server without issue.  When I attempt to force an update on the problematic server, I get the following:

    root@vsvr-testeatv:/opt/Symantec/virusdefs# ./sav liveupdate -u
    3.000000%
    6.000000%
    9.000000%
    12.000000%
    16.000000%
    19.000000%
Command failed: Failure in post processing of micro definitions during update.
    Unable to perform update
    root@vsvr-testeatv:/opt/Symantec/virusdefs# ./sav info -d
    07/22/2010 rev. 3

There are no tmp files or lulock.dat files in the /opt/Symantec/virusdefs folder.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

I removed and reinstalled SAVFL.  Thanx!
