  • 1.  Command Line tool to decrypt files on removable media?

    Hi,

What tools are available to allow command line decryption of encrypted files on removable media?  I have not found any obvious way to make the utility run on the command line without bringing up the GUI.

The use case is that not all machines are using SEE and the git repository doesn't work on the non-SEE hosts after getting updated on hosts that do have SEE until it is decrypted again.  I am not worried about the drive data as it is also hardware encrypted.

If your removeable storage device is already HW encrypted and you are confident that this offers sufficient protection of your data, then the simplest solution is to exlude this device from encryption by your SEE clients.  It's just a policy update to do so, whther that's a native policy change, or one via GPO, is dependent on your SEE environment (but it'll have to be done from the SEE Management Server either way).
