    Hi,

I have SEPM 14.2 in my environment and I have both SEP 14.2 and SEP 12.1 clients. I imported the bat files from the SEP 12.1 package into the SEPM 14.2. Then I generated the SEP 12.1 packages for Windows XP clients from SEPM 14.2. All end users with Windows 7 and above are running SEP 14.2 agents. All the agents were installed using remote push and silent installer. The SEP 14.2 clients are being shown on the SEPM 14.2 and I can run commands on them. The problem that I have is that the SEP 12.1 clients are not being displayed on the SEPM 14.2. The SEP 12.1 clients are getting updates and virus definitions though. I tried to remote push the communication setting and I also copied the sylink.xml files into the end users (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\CurrentVersion\Data\Config) and it still does not work out. I tried to install SEPM 12.1 on a VM and I exported the communication settings on the SEP 12.1 clients and the clients are showing up on the SEPM 12.1.The SEP 12.1 agents have a green dot on them and I think it means that there is communication between the agent and the manager. Could you please enlighten me on how to make the SEP 12.1 clients show up on the SEPM 14.2.

    Thanks and Regards.

    Hi Avinash,

You have to enable Transport Layer Security (TLS) on  Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 client computers to address the issue,
