Endpoint Protection

Dear Support,

We have encountered a Compatibility issues between Symantec Erase Control Driver and Windows Server 2016.

Current OS Version: Windows Server 2016 Std (64 bits)
Current SEP Client Version : 12.1.6 RU6 MP6 (12.1.7061.6600)

Anyone can help on this issue and how to fix it ?

Please test with SEP 12.1 RU6 MP9 to have the latest drivers.  If this continues to happen please open a support case so we can look into this.

Thank you for your reply. In our environment , our SEPM verison is 12.1.6 MP6. May I know the SEP client 12.1 RU6 MP9 is compatiable with SEPM verison is 12.1.6 MP6 ?

What means that 2016 fully patched ? You mean windows updates / patches or SEP client patch.

I have not tried with MP9 , as our SEPM version is 12.1.6 MP6 , I am afraid that there is a compatiable issue between different version of SEPM and SEP client.

You can install SEP 12.1 RU6 MP9 client and have it managed by 12.1 RU6 MP6 SEPM as a test to see if this resolves the issue.  If it does, you will want to upgrade your SEPM to 12.1 RU6 MP9 before deploying out the sep client to all of you systems.

I am having the same problems with Windows 10 Version 1709 with a Surface Pro 4 and a Dell laptop. Have you figured it out what the problem is? 

My Symantec client is 14.0.3876.1100.
