I see that SEP 12.1.4 shows the computer serial number in the client properties.  Is there a log that shows this information for all clients?

Those information needs to be filled by the end user, you need to enable log collection for that.

How do I get the "User Info" tab updated for each user with a managed Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) client without a manual edit in the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM)

On which tab, General or Clients?

I don't see one on the General tab other than Unique ID or Hardware key

On the clients tab, it shows the policy from the SEPM

On the general tab.  Last item on the tab.  See attached.  Its there on the tab so my question is is there a log file (like computer status) that I can pull that will include this field.

yea, it's not there in older versions of 12.1 which is why I didn't see it.

The only one I know of is Computer Status. Is it different for other machines? Seems to be the same as the hostname..?

Our standard naming convention is to use the computer serial as its computername.  That is one of the reasons I want to be able to pull an exported status log so I can cross check.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

I don't think it's possible to pull the Computer Serial Number info via SEPM reports.

Maximum what you can get is 'Client Inventory report' - Use this report to see the number and percentage of computers that fall into certain hardware and software categories. Available information includes the computers' operating system, total memory, free memory, total disk space, free disk space, and processor type. For example, from the Client Inventory report, you might see that 22% of your computers have less than 1 GB of free disk space.

However I will try to check is there any way to pull this info.

Yea, the computer status report is the only one that would show this...if the names match in each column that's what you can go on.

If Computer Serial Number = Computer Name then it can be pull from Computer status report.

The Computer Status log contains information about the real-time operational status of the computers in the network. Information available includes the computer name and IP address, last check-in time, definitions date, infected status, Auto-Protect status, server, group, domain, and user name. Filters for Computer Status reports have both standard configuration options and compliance-specific options.
