do you use proxy ? if yes then you need to set the proxy settings in SEPM console. under admin - servers tab.If that doesn't fix the issue.

     open control pannel

    open liveupdate

    make it as Interactive

    start  - run - type Luall.exe

    select only few updates

    complete the Lu

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

I would be glad to answer your query.

This could happen because you could not connect to the server, the server is now unavailable, or you became disconnected from the server

It may happen because of any of the following reason:

    • Proxy Settings are incorrectly set
    • Time-out
    • Incorrect Rights and permissions
    • Presence of a legacy file
    • Firewall settings not correct
    • Damaged files

Refer this article to know more about it: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH101807

    Hi mkadam289@gmail.com,

"Thumbs up" to Mithun and Chetan.  Is this from a SEP client or from the SEPM?  If it is for the SEPM, be sure correct proxy info is configured in all of the locations.....
