    Hello!

    My company operates servers.

    My partner would like to send more e-mails to his partners who are under messagelabs domain.

    Two days later, come back the error mail from messagelabs: Connection timed out.

    My IP: 79.172.241.35

    The http://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/lookup/ answer: The IP address you submitted, 79.172.241.35, does not have a negative reputation and therefore cannot be submitted for investigation.

    Please help me!

    Hello Anthony,

     

    I apologize in regards to your difficulty in emailing Symantec.Cloud clients. For future reference, anything regarding MessageLabs is best addressed in our Email Security.Cloud forum. With that said, I looked at your IP and I found restrictions were imposed due to Spam activity seen last year, especially around May 22nd. After reviewing now, the restrictions have been lifted. You should be able to connect to Symantec.Cloud infrastructure without issues now.

    Thank you for your help!

    True, last May was a spam episode my partner. Then he refuses to acknowledge it.


    I have a question:
    How can I check my IP reputation online. The
    http://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/lookup/ link not accurate.

    I would like these problems, in the future, independently, without the use of your time, solve.

    It would be suitable for an online website in Symantec, where it can check the IPs in the future and if the problems are resolved, could initiate the lifting of the ban.

    Unlike our intent, we will be in a position, when hundreds of customers we serve.

    Please help me with this!

    Hi Anthony,

    The link you provided does work, but it refers to a different reputation system which does not include the Symantec.Cloud / MessageLabs servers. Currently, for any issues connecting to the MessageLabs infrastructure you would need the assistance to a support representive to confirm if restrictions in the form of throttling or blacklist are currently being applied on your IPs.

    I certainly understand that this may not be ideal, but I do invite you to post here in the Email Security.Cloud forum any time you are encountering an issue such as what you experienced. We are also ever working on improving our service so more tools may become available in the future for you to use to verify your IPs.
