  • 1.  Consuming high disk space

    Hello Team,

     

    Below is the path that is creating huge number of files and consuming disk space.

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\12.1.1000.157.105\Data\CmnClnt\ccSubSDK

    Also please find the attachment of screenshot.

    please provide me with some permanent solution.

    You're on a version that is quite old and buggy. If you can upgrade I would suggest it. Aside from that you can run the symhelp tool on it to do error checking. You may need to manually clear out that directory.

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

    It may happen if the machine does not have access to the internet, or communication to the internet is broken.This may also be caused by a rapid increase in submissions due to a threat outbreak or false positive detection.

    1. Purge the Folder: Disable Tamper Protection through Symantec Endpoint Protection client, or at the policy level from the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM.) Manually delete the contents of folder.(Re-enable Tamper Protection when finished)
       
    2. Change the Submissions Policy if there is no internet connection: Open the SEPM > Clients Icon > My Company (or parent policy of machine) > External Communication Settings.
       
    3. Update Policy

    By implementing this solution it makes your clients less secure, just fyi.
