Hello, I just got a new Dell Latitude for my back shop. Anyway, I unistalled the Trend Micro that came with it, and tried to install a license from my symantec endpoint protection. Problem is, as soon as I do, I get a "corrupt install" msg, and the machine locks up on boot. The only way back to OS is to system resore back to before I installed SEPP. I am thinking I should maybe completly wipe out the old install, and try again. Any susggestion?

You can try running the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit to remove Trend completely.

    http://esupport.trendmicro.com/4/How-do-I-remove-Trend-Micro-Internet-Security-Pro-and-Trend-Micro-Inte.aspx

If that fails to do the trick,

please provide the SEP install log for us to help troubleshoot the issue.

    Post the SEP_INST.log,

    from start - run - %temp%\SEP_INST.log

Search for Return Value 3 and post the 10 lines above the return value 3.

    Best,

    Thomas

    Delete

    C:\Program files\Symantec

    C:\ProgramData\Symantec

reboot the machine then try re-installing SEP.

Also upload the SEP_INST.log as suggested earlier
