You can try one of two things:
1. Download latest GSS 2.5 from
www.ghost.com and try using Ghost explorer from it. We have put some smarts to better cope with certain corruption level under certain conditions. This obviously doesnt help all the time but it does help some people.
2. Use ghost to restore this image. If there is a bug in Ghost explorer that is causing this issue then unlike ghost explorer ghost doesnt care whether your image is corrupted and it just restores until it comes across something it cannot recover from. Then it just bails out. Hopefully it is just a bug in Ghost explorer that is stopping you from opening this image and you can recover your data by using ghost. If not - at least ghost will restore as much as it can and hopefully data in question will be restored.
Cheers.
