  • 1.  Create SAV Server under Parent Server in SSC

    Dear All Expert,

    I have a problem when using SSC, my parent server work properly, but when try to create another server i cannot open it in SSC, i found that when i trying to click the server in ssc, it's automaticcally stopped the Symantec Antivirus Services in sub server.

    Anny Suggestion Please

    the subserver symantec services are stopped, check locally and make sure that the services are running.

    Thanks for Reply

    Yes already ran the services but when i click sub server icon in SSC, the Symantec Antivirus Services in sub server automatically stopped.

    is teh SSC console and the server on the same machine?

    can you check and post the event log from the SAV server (subserver) for the service being stopped?

    the secondary server is on which oS, XP or 2003?

    Register the Symantec System Center Discovery service by typing the following command at a command prompt:

    regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec System Center\NscTopps.dll"

    check the DCOM permission
