    Hi.

      We're running CSP v. 5.2.0.519.  Can it be configured to detect USB devices attached to the system?  If so, how?

    Have you tried the built in (stock) HIDS policy to perform this function? Please refer to your policy reference guide (ids_ref.prf) on this matter.
