  • 1.  CSR and certificate problem

    Posted Jan 26, 2010 12:07 AM
    Hi all,
I have Brightmail 8.0.3. I have CSR and certificate stored in text files. CSR was generated by SBG. The problem is that i accidentally removed certificate from SBG host. Is there any possibility to upload or get back original CSR onto SBG and then import certificate again?

    Thanks for an advice

    Miroslav

Log into the Command-Line Interface (CLI) and run the 'http on' command

You will then be able to access the console via http://<appliance>:41443/

    Hi J.

i'm not sure if i understand you well.  I suppose that this command enable web server/service which is running on my host. Via Administration > Certificates > TLS & HTTPS Certificates i tried to import certificate but without success. I got this warrning: "No stored certificate request matches this certificate."  I need in a some way first upload CRS to host and then via menu reimport certificate. Did you mean under "console" CLI or admin interface ?

    Thx.

I guess I misunderstood you, I thought you had removed the self-signed certificate and could not longer access the web interface.

The only way to get that CSR back would be to restore from a backup. See thsi document for more details:

Title: 'Error: "No stored certificate request matches this certificate" when importing a signed certificate into Symantec Mail Security 8200 or 8300 series Appliance'

    Hi Miroslav,

Did the suggestion provided by TSE-JDavis resolve your issue?  If so, can you please mark his suggestion as the Solution?

    Thanks

    Hi AdnanH,
unfortunatelly i had no backup from that time therefore i had to reissue a new certificate.  Suggestion from TSE-JDavis would resolve the problem if i had it.

    Thx. anyway
