    Running NS 6.0.6074 (SP3 + R6).

Does anyone know if you can change the canned SWD notification message like you can with the Patch Management notification message?  If so, where is this because I have looked everywhere.  If not available on this version, is it available on 7.0?

Looking to have both Patch Management and SWD notification messages for restarts be the same so as to not confuse users.

This is current SWD canned notification message.

    Thanks!

The ability to customize the message isn't currently available with Software Delivery Solution 6. A feature request was created for this ability a while back, however I'm not sure the current status of it.

In my own testing of the recently released CMS 7 I haven't be able to find this ability either.

it was recommended to create a custom wrapper or app. The wrapper could execute stand alone (I'm not enough of a packaging guru to figure that out), and the app (like a message box, with options) could pop up before, and be used with a sequential task or task management job.

I think it's about time we follow up with Symantec regarding this feature request.  It doesn't make sense to confuse users with different messages and cause added support calls about whether or not theSWD being dished out is in fact an approved IT task.

Jim - do you know what the procedure is for feature requests?

I haven't seen the replacement for this function on the new website. I think these forums are the main outlet. There is a dedicated team of Symantec employees that monitor the posts so hopefully that will help.

I'll see if I can pass it on via my trusted advisor channel, and at least try and get an answer.
