I need some help with a DCS:SA registration to the UMC console. I have both the UMC and DCS:SA  up and running and can connect to both. Now,
when completing the registration of the DCS:SA server,  does the DCS:SA server need to resolve the UMC IP address and hostname or does it send the request via the 8443 port on the UMC when running the registerproduct.bat?

I have tried running the registerproduct.bat and I get errors. See attached.

Ok, so now I searched for the error message and found that I need to upgrade my UMC version to MP1.

But I now get an error message when trying to run liveupdate to upgrade the UMC to MP1. - "Failed to establish connection to server or proxy" - and I have entered the correct proxy settings (IP and Port) provided by customer.

DCS: SA version: 6.6.0772

DCS UMC version: 6.6.0257

Any ideas?

Contacted Symantec support and it was shown that the DCS and UMC versions are different. The DCS server is on 6.6MP1 while UMC is on 6.6.

I now need to get the liveupdate running.

I did take a look but not sure if it does apply.

Known Issues:
1. UMC does not validate credentials while saving Proxy server setting.
2. UMC does not support Proxy Server and LU server configured with domain credentials.

Neither of the known issues are part of my config. Only proxy server settings - no credentials required,
