  • 1.  Decompression Error in Spanned Version of File Only?

    Posted May 11, 2010 11:45 AM

Normally in our image captures, they are less than 2 Gig, but with the need of Office 2007, we have been forced over the 2 Gig limit, and my supervisor who builds the images has been faced with the spanned issue.  I have advised him on how to get the images not to span, but while using a spanned image, we have come across a Decompression Error.  If we choose to continue, it will keep going, and the system appears to work normally as if nothing were wrong.  While ghosting, at the bottom it says 'CRC in 8858Excel.exe'.

We have never had a Decompression Error before in any of our images, so this has only happened in a spanned image.  Any advice would be appreciated.

    Program Version 11.5.1.2266

    Thank you~! :)

    Jessica,

What level of compression do you use when creating images? Trying a different level of compression may work. Of course, using the -SPLIT=0 switch to not span would be a good idea, too.

    Thank you,

    Randy

Okay, even in the non-spanned version it's still doing this.  Any answer?

I should mention we turned on the error log and it's saying 1808 - Decompression Error now.
