  • 1.  Delete Task Cache

    Hello All,

    In Altiris 7.1 we could delete "Task Cache" by going to "C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\TaskManagement\cache\*.*" and deleting the contents, could someone help me where is this location in Altiris 7.5. Is it - C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Agents\SoftwareManagement\data ? OR some other location, also is there a built in task in Altiris 7.5 which can clean this folder, OR if some one has a script that can do this job.

    Hi Wert.

    Starting from 7.5 all sensitive data (including task's cache) moved into the encrypted storage. Ordinary the location of this storage is "C:\ProgramData\Symantec\Symantec Agent\Ldb".

    Unfortunately, I do not know how to clean-up task-cache data in this storage.

    There is an article regarding another problem with the Secure Agent Storage if the agents gets a new GUID.

    Attached to that article you find a batch file which can be used for the clean up.
